museum and exhibition design

Interactive units alongside artefacts, all under the canopy of the Forest of Arden

Shakespeare was born, retired and died in Stratford-upon-Avon and for two centuries the Birthplace has been a mecca for tourists. Our permanent exhibition traces Shakespeare’s family life and career, incorporating contemporary artifacts and a wealth of display and interactive effects.

In the Birthplace house itself we have designed discreet interpretation panels and interior details to enhance the visitor’s appreciation of 16th-century domestic life.

For the same client we have also designed the Museum of British Pewter in the timber-framed Harvard House in Stratford. This features modernistic showcases, some with self-lit pull-out drawers, and a hands-on pewter bench area.
